Pavlidis Estate is located in Kokkinogeia, in the northwestern part of the prefecture of Drama, just 19 km from the city of Drama. It was founded in 1998 by Christoforos. Pavlidis, who after a persistent search chose this area for the establishment of the vineyard and winery. Today, the privately owned vineyards of 800 acres are located in the areas of Kokkinogeia and Perichora Drama, two areas known for their vineyards since antiquity. The main objective of Pavlidis Estate is the production of fine wines from Greek and international varieties, bearing the special character of the region’s terroir. It is one of the few wineries in Greece where, from 2005 until today, they exclusively carry out night harvesting in order to minimize the stress on the grapes.
In particular, Pavlidis Estate has to present the THEMA family, with the white being born from the coupling of Assyrtiko with Sauvignon Blanc, the red from the coexistence of Agiorgitiko with Syrah and the rosé produced from grapes of the Spanish Tempranillo variety. Recently, ALMA, a new rosé wine, was released with a bright, pale salmon colour, a blend of Agiorgitiko and Syrah varieties. Finally, there are the single-vineyard EMPHASIS Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko, Chardonnay, Syrah and Tempranillo, produced from selected vineyard plots on the estate.
