Spanish Paella Pan (choice of sizes)

Paella pans are a versatile and iconic piece of Spanish cookware, perfect for preparing the classic Spanish rice dish, paella. Using this paella pan requires practice and it will become more naturally non-stick with use. The steps to follow are:

 -Before using it for the first time, wash it with soap and water, rinse and dry it very well with a cloth.
 -To protect and promote the natural non-stick coating of the iron paella pan, it is recommended to cure it the first time and a maintenance cure when necessary if the food begins to stick.
 -Put on medium heat with a 1 cm layer of oil, preferably with a high smoke point (sunflower or coconut), making circular movements so that the oil is distributed on all sides including the edges.
 -When the oil begins to smoke, keep it for 3 minutes and turn off the heat. You can add some onions that you will throw away after.
 -Allow the oil to cool for 10 minutes, then remove the oil, and wash the pan with water,soap and a sponge

How to clean the Lacor iron paella pan

 -It is recommended to clean it by hand when it is cold, with hot water and a soft scouring pad (never use a metal scouring pad), preferably without using soap, as it can reduce the non-stick properties. Then, dry it very well.
 -In cases of persistent dirt, heat the iron paella pan with water coarse salt for 2 minutes on high heat to help remove it
 -Grease the paella with a few drops of oil before storage to avoid rusting.

If well cared for the pan will last a lifetime, Small color changes (yellow, brown or black) may appear in the pan that have no effect on its operation or safety.
